But the slashes (/) have to be replaced by hyphens (-) because Windows does not allow slashes within a filename. That means the example callsign have to be renamed to HB9-DJ6LS-M in the filename as well in the QSL image table. - Awards - Within the award evaluations for DXCC, IOTA, WAC, WAE, WAS and WAZ it is possible now to consider the LoTW status field. During the DXCC recognition (QSO Input and PacketRadio) the software will lookup for the callsign within this table (LAS.DBF) first. If it is found the DXCC out of this list will be entered to the current QSO. ATTENTION: No further check is done by HAM-LOG so please maintain this table carefully !!! Up to now only the BAND and MODE was possible as a criterion. Have a look to the paragraph Configuration to see which fields are possible. - Configuration: New menu item available: 'QSL Criteria for QSO Input'. Here you may select the input fields which are compared with previous QSOs. This means, if the field content changes compared to previous QSOs the QSL state will be set to 'Y'. A new BAND always changes the QSL state to 'Y'. Following fields may be selected: MODE, DOK/OK, IOTA, Locator, US-State, US-County, Award1-Award15. The Configuration item 'Searches Mode depending' does not belong any longer to the QSL defaults, but is only meaningful for the QSL-Info and QSL-Matrix. The program QSXer may be downloaded for free from the url www.qsxer.com. The author of the software is Howard Nurse, W6HN. QSXer show radio stations on a world map at the internet which are connected to himself via a DDE interface. DDE data (Frequency and Mode) are sent by HAM-LOG while in QSO entry mode. DDE Interface Informations -------------------------- Server: HAMLOG4WIN Topic : HAMLOG_DATA Items : FREQUENCY, MODE - Merge log files: With the new item 'QSL state behaviour' the QSL state can be handled like in QSO entry mode. That means, if a QSO with this callsign on this band (and with this Mode) exists, the QSL state is set to ‘N’. Here it is not necessary that the QSL state of the previous QSO is ‘R’ (received) resp. ‘S’ (sent) as before. - Log search In the browse mode of log search you may now delete or recall all records. - Error correction: - DXCC matrix: Superseded DXCCs has been treated wrong. You may now enter the difference to GMT in fractions of hours. The only valid values are .25 = 15 minutes, .50 = 30 minutes and .75 = 45 minutes. Here are some examples: +7.5 or -8.75 The DXCC names contains now also the IOTA if applicable. - Refresh logbook fields: You may refresh now also the fields ANT and TX. - Configuration - Fonts: The font for QSO notes windows may be configured now. - Error correction: Problems in connection with HAMMAP are fixed (when HAMMAP was closed before HAM-LOG). The field separator sign contains the character which separates the different abbreviations. The default character is a (,) comma. If the special search is selected the sorting is done on the selected field. All the other sorting options are disabled!!! Changes within the report lists: There are two new variables for the reports: myRemarksAward (remarks field) and mySpecialAward (special field). With this the search argument is transferred to the report. If the search field remarks contains for example *DLI* then the string 'DLI' is transferred within the variable myRemarksAward to the report. Within the function list of the report generator there is a new function named 'GetAwardToken()' available. This function transfers the complete award abbreviation, e.g. 'DCI SV-010', from the fields remarks/special and displays it. The other entries within these fields are suppressed. An example for the remarks field within the report is: GetAwardToken(ham_srch.bem, myRemarksAward, ",") An example report list for the remarks field can be found in the directory Hamlog32\log_form with the name LogCallA4_quer_award.rpt - Print QSLs/Logbook search: While the window 'Logbook search/Edit' is displayed you may now also print QSLs. - Packet Radio: Now a QSL-Matrix for the incoming DX-spots can be displayed. You may select between DXCC, WAZ and IOTA. The IOTA is now being extracted out of the DX-spot comments. The matrix shows by default the information of the latest DX-spot. That means a previous QSO like HB9/DJ6LS is counted different to the callsign DJ6LS. - From the Tab-Windows 'Prev. QSOs' it is possible now to transfer the fields DIG,NAME,ORT,LOCATOR,DOK,SPEZIAL,BEM,QSLMGR into the QSO-Entry mask by pressing the F12-Key. This function may be konfigured according to the fileds to be copied. In addition you may decide to copy only fields which are not empty in the QSO-Entry mask. - The behaviour of the QSO-Entry fields has been improved when selecting a field with the mouse. If the field is empty the cursor is positioned on the left side, otherwise it is positioned within or at the end of the text. - The field RIG has now a width of 4 characters. The RIG-File Station.dbf may now be expanded (append records). - All Award evaluations now allow to take into account the HomeQTH. - New function to re-calculate the points field. - When printing the search results (search function) the correct quantity and order of the QSOs is considered. This achieve a correct print out, a 'Neutral' report (no sort order) have to be used. - When an additional DXCC is selected the direction/distance will be re-calculated. - Support of FUNKBOX WinRotor included. Please note, that WinRotor must not be started before HAM-LOG is running.
